How to pick yourself up after a bad day

by | SUCCESS + MINDSET | 0 comments

Let’s talk about how to pick yourself up when your day goes down the toilet.

There are going to be those days. They start with spilling your coffee and go downhill from there. By 10:30, you are ready to crawl back into bed.

You know these days are going to come, and being prepared with a plan when they do can quickly take a crap day and turn it into a great day in no time.

Do you have a plan to pick yourself up?

When you feel a bad day coming here is how to turn it around. Have your own personal cheerleader.

Having someone to lean on when these days happen can lessen the blow of a bad day. Find a cheerleader or two you can call, email, or sit with in times of doubt or turmoil. Have a few people that know you and your dreams – that can listen to you, deliver a pep talk and send you back on your upward path.

“If I’m having a really bad day, I always have a girlfriend – or even a guy friend – who I can call. They’ll listen to me wallow for a minute and then be like, ‘Okay, let’s stop. Everything’s great. Let’s figure out how to fix whatever’s bothering you.”

Dealing with a rough patch or doubt storm is possible on your own, but having a cheerleading backup can make the rebound quick and painless.

Reciprocate the favor and volunteer your cheerleading services…  it will make a huge difference in their life and yours.

Think of one to three friends or family members that could be your cheerleader. Contact each of them and explain the process to them, and let them know how important it is for you to have them in your life, as a cheerleader.

Make sure they know the big picture, the why that gets you up in the morning. Make sure you tell them your big dreams.

The next time you are feeling one of those doubt storms coming or a bad day on the horizon, call one of your cheerleaders and have them flip the script for you.

Comment and let us know the three people you are going to contact and do it today.

Until next time,

Torie Mathis
