When it comes to entrepreneurship, there is no one-size-fits-all personality type. However, some enneagram personality types are more well-suited to the entrepreneurial lifestyle than others. Here is a look at the best Enneagram personality for entrepreneurship, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of each type and some famous examples.

But first, just in case you’ve never heard of Enneagram, let’s cover what Enneagram is and why you as a business owner should care.

What is Enneagram?

The Enneagram is a nine-pointed figure that is used to represent different personality types. The theory behind it is that each person has a specific personality type that corresponds to one of the nine points on the enneagram. This personality type then influences the way that person interacts with the world.

Enneagram Personality Types and Entrepreneurship

For the business owner, the Enneagram is a powerful tool. By understanding the nine personality types, you can learn to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your team members and better tailor your management style to their needs. The Enneagram can also help you to understand your own motivations and triggers and how they might be impacting your business decisions.

Ultimately, the goal is to use this self-awareness to create a more harmonious and productive work environment. So if you’re feeling a bit stuck in your business rut, remember that the enneagram might just be the key to unlocking your full potential.

Why is Enneagram Popular for Business Owners?

So why is the Enneagram so popular in business circles? One reason is that it can be incredibly helpful in team-building and understanding how different people work together. By understanding each other’s personality types, team members can learn to communicate and work more effectively together.

Another reason the enneagram is popular in business is that it can be used as a tool for self-awareness. By understanding your own personality type, you can gain insights into your strengths and weaknesses and learn how to use them to your advantage.

Where to Take an Enneagram Test

There’s no shortage of places to take an enneagram test these days. In fact, it seems like everyone, from your business owner to your yoga teacher, is obsessed with this personality assessment tool. While you can find plenty of free tests online, you can go to a certified professional to get the most accurate results.

I have taken the one from yourenneagramcoach.com and eclecticenergies.com, both of which are free and have additional paid services. Just doing a Google search deliver you tons of options.

What Enneagram Personality am I?

The first time I took the Enneagram Personality Test I came up a type 1, with a type 3 in a very close second. I have since taken it a few times and I am a 3 every time, with 1 a close second, followed by a 7.

My types

My Enneagram Type | Torie Mathis

So what does this mean? Well, honestly, I find those results to be accurate to me, and even the change from a 1 to 3 seems correct. And if I had to pick another that felt like me, it would definitely be a 7. The others, however, definitely are much further from who I am, so to be that says there is some truth that each is unique to specific people.

It feels pretty genuine, not overly broad like some personality tests.

I had Sean take it too, and he came in a 1 followed by a close 7. Seems legit.

what is the BEST Enneagram Personality Type for Entrepreneurship?

After all my research, I found each personality type has specific strengths and weaknesses, that could either help a business sore or bring it crashing down. So there isn’t any definite answer to the best.

If you exploit your strengths, avoid your weaknesses, and find others to help you in the things you’re not great at, I think any could be a solid, successful entrepreneur.

So, what Enneagram Personality Type are you? Which do you think makes the best entrepreneur? Maybe it is a 3! 😉 Just maybe.
